New Focus for Elma Transfer Station

Elma residents who have paid a recent visit to the Creek Road Transfer Station may have noticed a change when they went to drop off their trash and recyclables. The facility underwent a transformation in June, when the town reorganized the site and expanded the blacktopped area.

Property tax public meeting There will be an informational public meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 18 at the Sarpy County Fairgrounds in the 4-H Building in Springfield. Information will be given on property tax evaluations in Sarpy County. The meeting is open to the public. Information on helping to fill out protest forms will also be discussed.

ROWE: Unique items abound at local artist's trunk show

Dragonfly Embellishments owned by Diana Kristynik and Cindy Hammond at 317 E. Frank hosted a local artist trunk show. The unique items that were displayed were hand-painted silk scarves by Conni Estes. She said that in January, she bought a book on painting scarves for beginners and has made over 50 so far.
